Yes, You Can Take CBD and CBG Together!

Yes, You Can Take CBD and CBG Together!

We've had a few customers reach out with questions this week about HippieShine CBD - and we are so grateful! We love connecting with you. Our mission from "Day 1" of our business was to take the mystery out of finding and using QUALITY CBD. There is still so much confusion in the space and even more sub-par products available online.

We made the decision this week to drop our Isolate CBD from our hemp oil lineup. It has nothing to do with the quality and effectiveness of the product, but rather the rising level of comfort we see in the public for using full-spectrum CBD. When we started our company, CBD was gaining popularity and many customers, especially those that are required to drug test for work, wanted the security of a refined product - our CBD Isolate was in high demand.

To further explain the difference, isolate CBD has been refined to remove all other chemical compounds from hemp oil, while full spectrum products include them. This includes beneficial elements, like terpenes, flavonoids, and trace THC. None of these elements have psychoactive effects, but rather work together to enhance the benefits of CBD.

We both started our journey with CBD through isolates. This is what Alex used when he was seeking a natural solution for his high blood pressure... and what Rachel found to help manage her anxiety... and what Jenny discovered that reduced the years of swelling in her old ankle injury... and what April purchased for stress management and realized it also ended her battle with plantar fasciitis. All incredible stories of the impact that CBD, even in its most refined state, can have on a variety of health issues.

So, why would you move on to another product? Full-spectrum CBD, for many, is a "next step" once they see the impact that CBD can have - and trust for themselves that it does not come with unwanted side effects. Full-spectrum CBD includes all of the beneficial chemical compounds found in the hemp plant. These compounds work in harmony to create an "entourage" effect - think greater relaxation, greater reduction in inflammation, greater impact on your holistic health.

By far, our full-spectrum products have become our hottest sellers. In general, our customers feel more comfortable using them than they did when CBD first hit the market. Our isolate CBD is not in as high demand as it used to be. Again, this isn't due to the effectiveness or quality of the product, but rather a change based on education and growing personal experience.

Where does CBG fit in to the equation? CBG, or cannabigerol, is considered the "mother" of CBD. It is produced earlier in the life cycle of the hemp plant and creates CBD as the plant matures. It is more potent and can have a greater effect on a wider range of health concerns. We both love it for its anti-inflammatory and pain relief effects. Because it is harvested earlier, there is less of it produced, which naturally makes it a slightly more expensive product.

We've had customers reach out this week because of our isolate clearance sale to inquire about using the isolate with CBG. Short answer is ABSOLUTELY. You can use both products together without worry. They work together harmoniously - there is plenty of published research available to support this.

We are not medical professionals or advisors. We are simply advocates and experienced believers. CBD, even when used alongside CBG, is a safe and natural alternative to pharmaceuticals for a number of health issues. While our oils come with a suggested dosage, your body chemistry will be what decides what products and dosage works best for you. You can feel comfortable giving a combination of CBD and CBG a try!*

Obviously, I'm going to conclude with STRONGLY suggesting you stock up on our 1000mg isolate CBD tinctures while they are in stock and only $25 - and buy two, get one free. Now is the time! When our supply is gone, we will not be restocking.

We will be introducing a few new hemp oil products in the coming weeks so please stay tuned!
